Definition: Hash

Footprint to identify initial data (sometimes unknown) by comparing it to other footprints. In cryptography, a
footprint is the result of the application of an encryption software to a given message. Whatever the origin of the
data entered in the encryption software, the footprint will always have the same syntax, so to say the same number
and type of characters.
